Dr. Holly Phillips, Board Certified General Internist, is in private practice in Manhattan and has gained nationwide recognition as the Medical Contributor to CBS News.  She is featured regularly on “CBS This Morning,” “CBS Evening News,” and “48 Hours,” reporting on a broad range of medical topics with authority and compassion.  Prior to joining CBS News, Dr. Phillips was the Chief Medical Correspondent for CBS2, New York’s local news affiliate.  Frequently quoted in print, she is a contributing editor for Prevention, and has appeared in feature articles for Vogue, Cosmopolitan, “O” The Oprah Magazine, and Town and Country among others. Isabel Blumberg

Dr. Isabel Blumberg is a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist who has been in private practice for nine years in New York City. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, where she completed her medical degree and her residency. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University.

Shieva Ghofrany

Shieva Ghofrany, MD, FACOG has been in private practice for over 12 years at Coastal Obstetrics & Gynecology in Stamford, CT.  After completing her BA at Georgetown University, she did a post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Columbia University and then attended medical school at Tel Aviv University/Sackler School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Stamford Hospital/Columbia University.  She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Integrative Health and Healing through The Graduate Institute, which will be completed summer of 2016. Dr. Jonathan Lanzkowsky is an obstetrician/gynecologist in New York City and is affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital. He received his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.  He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and has been in practice for 22 years.

Kevin Jovanovic

Dr. Kevin Jovanovic is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed four years of training at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, where he helped run the Yale University Women’s Center, serving over 35,000 patients a year. Trained in the newest and most advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy surgical techniques, Dr. Jovanovic has received Yale University’s Outstanding Laparoscopic Surgeon Award for 2004. He has been exceptionally trained in high-risk obstetrics, infertility, chronic pelvic pain and urogynecology. He has also completed the prestigious Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute fellowship in Beverly Hills, California with Dr. David Matlock. He has founded the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of New York City.

Dr. Jovanovic was recently appointed as an Associate Professor of Ob/Gyn at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Melissa Goldstein

Dr. Melissa Goldstein received her B.S. in Economics from Cornell University and her M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical College. After completing her pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian -Weill Cornell Medical Center, Dr. Goldstein moved to Russia to work as a general pediatrician to the local Muscovite, expatriate and diplomatic community in Moscow. Dr. Goldstein then went on to work at International Pediatric Health Services in New York City with Dr. Jane Aronson. In this office, Dr. Goldstein provided general pediatric care for children adopted from foreign countries. Dr. Goldstein has now been with Carnegie Hill Pediatrics for the past 8 years. In this practice, Dr. Goldstein works as a general pediatrician with a specialty in adopted children. She helps families through all of the steps of the exciting, but challenging, endeavor of adopting a child or infant. In addition, Dr. Goldstein is a certified American Red Cross First Aid and CPR instructor. She performs classes for families requesting this very important training course.

Lisa Schavrien

Since beginning her career, Lisa Schavrien has focused extensively in the field of obstetrics primarily in labor and delivery. She currently works as the Nurse Navigator for the for OBGYN department at Lenox Hill Hospital, a position the hospital created with her in mind to utilize her strengths in quality patient care. In this role, she serves as a liaison between outpatient services and the inpatient community. The primary focus of this program is to individualize patient care to meet each patients unique clinical as well aspersonal needs. It is currently the only program of its kind in New York City.

Throughout her career she has been recognized on numerous occasions by the hospital for providing excellence in care to her patients. Ms. Schavrien attended undergrad at Michigan State University studying physiolog,  and then went on to obtain her nursing degree from University of Detroit Mercy.

Schavrien’s volunteer work includes A Stitch in Time, an organization that travels to Bangladesh annually to perform gynecologic surgeries to women in the region who would otherwise not have access to medical care.  For this she received a Humanitarian Award for her efforts in missionary work. Additional, volunteer work includes time spent with the Grand Street Settlement providing mentoring for under-privileged youth in lower Manhattan.

Kari leads weekly asana classes and anatomy workshops at Yoga Great Barrington and Kripalu’s R&R Retreat Center and Healthy Living Program. In 2004, Kari founded the East Yoga Center studio in New York’s East Village, where she famously merged her passion for yoga and dogs with a weekly “Doga” class.
